They had 3 capri"s at the garage quite a surprise as never seen a capri in France before. Yes was crap seeing the car and not being able to drive it away, but at least it's here and I can collect in a few days.

Looks great - must be a relief to finally see it in the flesh and knowing it's not very long now before you have it in your possession.

Are those silver wing mirrors like mine, or protective covers? I can't quite tell as there are some odd shadows here and there. I'm thinking at some point I might order a set of colour coded for mine as I think I prefer them that way.

Hi Mate,I think they are protective covers, seemed to be covers everywhere.I ordered the STi mats and they are fitting the LEDS they have in stock and ordering up the rest. The ones they are fitting are; LED T10 x 2 (I think these are the daylight running lights),Navette LED C3W x 2 and LED P13W x 1. Not sure what the last two are? Hopefully only 2 days to go!!!!

Interesting. T10/C3W aren't even mentioned in the manual though the T10 could be the W5W (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o...ght_bulb_types) which are things like the licence plate/boot lights. But the P13W are the DRLs - if they can get those in LED I'd be interested in getting a few myself as I'm still missing those for mine.

For the T10 its says;LED T10 Pastilles Canbus x 2, still can't work out what they are. If they can get bulbs you can't let me know and I'll order them and post on.

It looks like the T10s are these: https://www.amazon.fr/Autoled-0030-A.../dp/B00C6FGNJO so W5Ws really and they don't need to be canbus as the I don't think the STI has it, at least I haven't seen anything to prove that it does and I haven't worried about it with the bulbs I've replaced.

Let's see how they do when sorting yours out first - they may be ordering replacements like I did and then find they have the same problems that they don't fit. The best I've seen and guaranteed to fit are these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2x-MARS-Pe...YAAOSwd0BVy-b- which need to be smaller than the normal P13W you find because there isn't as much room in the fog light as other lights.

Picked the car up yesterday, very pleased with the look and drive.Even running it in will be fun,as at 4,000 revs its quite lively. Spending a lot of time reading manuals to adjust all the settings ( thanks to Taomyn for help with this). Have attached the first few pictures.

Thumbs up

Very smart - can't wait to see it in the flesh once we get around to a meet up.

Let me know if there's anything else you want to know - it's nice to have someone else on this side of the Atlantic to chat about the car with.

Black's definitely the colour for this generation in my opinion.

Suits it perfectly. Hope you enjoy it, given the wait you've endured!

Thanks for the comments. Loved the look of the car from day one and glad I went for black. The drive and power feed is so smooth compared to my old WRX. So many gadgets and already finding the blind spot radar really helpful. Time for a big clean and polish today.

Looks great Terry.
What do you mean it's smoother than your Bug, how dare you !!!!

What's the part throttle response like, does it feel like it's giving you a large % of boost or does it feel normally aspirated.
I hated that on my Hawk hence why I remapped it to give 80% boost at 50% throttle.

P.S Pictures now bigger as I hate those clicky attachments.

No complaints about your work on my bug Scott, but everything is so much smoother with the new car. Throttle response feels like it's giving me plenty of boost. How did you make the pics bigger? I've given the car a good clean and will take more pics and post via photo something. Just had a call from the garage and they forgot to give me spare bulbs, safety kit and locking wheel nut kit.

What setting do you have the Si-Drive in, as that changes the throttle map (but does nothing to engine/boost). I can probably dig out the throttle map changes from somewhere, if your interested.

I heard somewhere that in "I" it also keeps the boost from coming on as soon as it does for "S" and "S#"

I suspect as Terry is still running it in he'll not be in boost too often - with mine during the run-in I only took it out of "I" once or twice just to see that it worked. Now I flip between "I" and "S" depending on traffic.

It will have that effect as boost is mapped against throttle % and rpm.

Throttle plate % will be changed by the S-Drive.
The different S-Drive modes just alter the amount the throttle plate opens Vs the amount you press the pedal. Unlike a conventional cable throttle where it's totally linear (you push the pedal, it pulls a cable and the throttle opens).

For example, in the more sedate modes 10% pedal will give 10% throttle
In the more aggressive modes 10% pedal movement may give 18% throttle.
The disadvantage of the more aggressive modes is that the last 20% of the pedal movement is normally pretty dead.

It makes it feel like the car is quick, but you can get just as much out of it in the lower setting by being heavier on the pedal

It's also mapped 3 dimensionally against RPM, whereas the above just describes the 2D effect.

When I collected the car the garage forgot to supply/fit locking wheel nuts. I can go back and have them fitted or they will post them. Now even I can change a wheel nut, but does it need to be tightened to a specific setting ? Thanks
