Is it possible?

Just wondered if it's possible to remove the rear ARB and still drive the car without any problems ?
My reason for this question is, I've got a really annoying squeak coming from the rear and I believe the ARB to be the cause and wanted to remove it just to see if I'm right and see if the noise goes.

Any input would be appreciated

You can definitely drive without it, but don't give it too much welly!

If you're just testing for the noise it should be apparent quite quickly, so you won't need to go far.

Grease up your ARB bushes.
If it's a whiteline they may be dry and squeaky.

Yes they are new Whiteline bushes Scott, they've been on the car for a few months now with no problems, but they are supposed to be dry bushes that don't need grease (says so on the pack anyway).

My whitelines needed a grease about once every year to 18 months. Not many miles covered in that period either.

The lack of miles probably doesn't help, ironically.

I get the impression the polybushes prefer to be in use. Certain with the FSTi, mine make less noise now that I do c13k miles a year than they did when I did c4k miles.

Very true!

It's definitely a good technique for meets. Approach a group and say "hello Steve"... chances are someone will respond and you've broken the ice!
