Positive crankcase ventilation, when the car is off boost (e.g. Vacuum manifold pressure) a valve in the inlet manifold opens and draws air in from the crankcase the draw comes through the heads so removing the corrosive gasses that can build up. You can either keep or remove this part of the system.
My car has the full vta and PCV delete system but some do say that this is not the best on a daily driver. Do you have a Front mount or are you still on a standard top mount - as the method is slightly different for each. Basically you need to locate the pipes that come from the head breather ports and re-route these to the catch can. The crankcase port is on the drivers side of the block under the intercooler (if TMIC) and next to the turbo, this is in a T piece with one branch to the PCV valve and the other to the inlet pipe. You again need to re-route the pipe to the inlet pipe to the catch can or if removing the PCV system remove the T piece and route a single hose to the catch can. You then need to blank off the ports on the inlet pipe and if you've removed the PCV system remove and blank the PCV valve port on the inlet manifold. You should also fit a small greater filter to the vent on the catch-can.
