P0244 code
Gents can you help with this one...had the P0244 wastegate solenoid fault code come up, reset but come up again when foot down in 4th. Car is a 2007 hawk WRX with a decat prodrive exhaust but on standard map. Would a remap be the best option as was going to remap it at some point anyway.

Decat exhaust on a standard map could be pushing the current map to the limits of its ability to compensate - but as many mappers will say you shold only take a car that's 100% for mapping otherwise they may have to abort the mapping session as they cannot fix all faults on site, unless you go to a mapper/garage combination e.e Subaru4You in Newbury or further afield like Engine tuner. Most Mappers (especially mobile) only have the facilities to fix a variety of the more common minor faults that mapping can highlight (e.g a dodgy boost solenoid)

Crikey, not heard from you in a while! Hope, aside from this, all's well!
I know I'm a bit simple sometimes when it comes to technical matters, but I'd be looking at getting the car checked to see if the code is thrown due to a faulty part first. Best of luck with it. |

Yeah still about but not local now as moved down to Hailsham but still work up your way. Not Driven the scoob much as use the hack for work. I drove the scoob to a track day when I got the fault. Car drives fine after boost cut. |
