Default Replacement turbo

Hi all happy new year
I have just been given the good news that I will be needing a new turbo soon, where is a decent place to buy? Second hand? Recon? What type?
I have a bugeye uk300. After rebuilding the engine the budget is tight.
Many thanks for any advise offered

secondhand vf35 off scoobynet traders probably most cost effective safe method. about £300 to £350 I would have thought. check for cracks on wastegate and play in shaft.

If you want like for like there are plenty of TD04 on ebay. Most are in good working order as have only been taken off for upgrade purposes.

Some of us on here may even have one or two TD04 kicking about.

if your simply after another replacement then you need the std fit TD04 and they are generally plentiful and under £100 s/hand........rarely go wrong in the scheme of things

any change to a different turbo and you'll need to map it
