You shouldn't need to swap any wires for the fuel pump to prime, which version of the avcr did you buy? and do you have the commander

You need to move the fuel pump wire on a 97/98 UK ECU if fitting am Apexi.

Move B137 Pin 17 to 7 or via versa. Whichever one has a missing pin.
You can release the crimps from the connector with the end of a jewlers screwdriver or heavy duty paperclip to release the plastic retaining latch for the crimp.

If the fuel pump primes but it still doesn't start you may also have to swap B136 Pin 8 and 10 for cam and crank. Although I don't recall having to do this on a 97/98. But it was a long time ago. Cam and crank do need doing for 99/00 but not pump.

Will post image of connectors later

B137 is the biggest connector.
Make sure you count the pins from the correct end and double check orientation/pin layout matches the above.

You do need to swap cam and crank.
I did a little Google and found this little gem : http://www.scoobynet.com/general-tec...ont-start.html

As I have been asked Apexi fitting questions twice this weekend I have added a sticky thread here : http://www.southeastscoobies.co.uk/v...ad.php?t=20819

You may be able to find an FC-Datalogit for less then a commander. This will allow 'Laptop' mapping, if you are going to give it a go yourself.

You need to move 17 to 7
It has one in 17.
You are counting from the wrong end.
The image on the diagram is as viewed from ECU not the mating connector.

If you look at the diagram the connector has a block of 4 one end and 6 the other so orientate the plug the same way.
