Default So whats this for?

Doing a couple of things on the scoob last night, including removing the jack as I don't carry the spare wheel around these days (it won't fit over brakes).

Never noticed this cable before, just looks like a standard headphone jack chucked down the side of the boot liner. Everyone else got this in their newage? It doesn't look like its been added by a previous owner and the car was completely standard audio-wise when i got it.

They never put CD changers in these as an option extra did they?? If they did, I can't see any power feed for it? Whats it for?

Haven't got that in mine (I guess it's still currently mine...) and I did remove the boot lining a couple of times due to leaking. Mine has a random cable from the back of the head unit which goes to nothing under the passenger seat... Thought it might have been a subwoofer or something similar on mine? Yours looks more like an aftermarket microphone cable... Possibly

My Flux seperated like that. I used some twine / araldite and suspended it with a nubin screw to get the connection back up and running. Runs like a good un now.

I thought it was just a jack for attaching headphones, in car entertainment for whoever you have thrown in the trunk that day.
