A question Gary
If I was to respray my entire car with plasti dip, how would this affect my insurance? As its something thats removeable, would i have to inform the DVLA to say the car is a different colour? Just curiosity.

To my recollection, you have to inform DVLA of resprays only.
The thing I read up in it only dealt with wrap vs respray, but it would be reasonable to think that it should be the same principle. Obviously not definitive! No idea about the insurance implications, but it would be harsh if it had an impact. I think Gary is on holiday at the moment, so may not see this for a little bit. |

Ha! Just goes to show a little (out-of-date) knowledge is a dangerous thing!
Also, I hadn't realised this was specifically in Gary's section until now, so apologies for my lack of forum etiquette, storming in with a response. |

It depends on the insurer
