Default Which battery?

Thinking of changing my battery in few months seeing as it's 6yrs old..

Just wondered what people are running? I've had varta before and they seem a good upgraded battery..

Anyone picked anything special? Or just shelf items?

Ryan

I went with a Bosch off the shelf job at Eurocarparts. 4 years guarantee on it.

Ditto. They're blue and silver so they'll match your car as well.

I tend to get halfords calcium batteries, with a trade card they are as cheap as eurocarparts. I have a one year old one out of my bug that I can let go cheap, always conditioned on a charger. I have too many spares at moment.

That looks tempting.. that's got to be worth a 5kg weight saving at least!

Glad I didn't buy a battery based on Dave's first link, might have been slightly lanking in power, definitely a weight saving though!

Had a Bosch one on mine.. Didn't last long so got a Varta from euro car parts and seems to hold the charge a lot longer for a car that sits in the garage most of its life..
