Sodding rear brakes
RANT and questions
Picked up some second hand rear brakes a while ago in much better condition than the ones on the car in terms of pitting, however in finally taking them to the work bench to clean them up ready for paint I can see that they are of a different design on each side! I believe they will take the same pads / discs (??) but now I'm bloody annoyed that they are not a matching pair, as they are rear brakes I doubt it will make much difference? Will be fitting brand new discs and pads all round, purchased last year from Alyn at AS Performance |

Bought privately or from a breaker? If it was from a trader, I'd be asking questions!

Sourced privately - yonks ago, originally was given a pair by a mate who had them sat in his shed but upon inspection they were both for the same side (bleed nipple location was the same on both) so this other one was then sourced from elsewhere and I just haven't looked properly until now

So fed up, I think I'm just going to give up and fit the discs and pads to the rear ****ters already on the car and forget the custom colour repaint...

I'd do that, the calipers are for different thickness discs so wouldn't use them....

Is this for the white wagon or the blue wide body saloon?

Actually for my Newage sportshift WRX. They came also with under spec'd brakes so I'm fitting four-pots up front and wanted to replace the rears at same time and have the set painted.
