checked fault codes whats this?

Did my fault codes to try and find the problem.. Had 2

23 Maf air flow sensor

44 turbo wastegate regulator malfuncion

So please whats a "wastegate regulator" and where do i find it

was told to clear codes,which i did,and now flashes continually but what do i do next?
