Smile Engine Build by JSRace Engineering

I was unlucky enough to blow up the engine on my Type R but very lucky to find JS Race Engineering who built me a superb new engine.

Here's the link to my PhotoBucket album of the rebuild.

It goes very well. I think it's time to make it even quicker.

We know Jimmy, good to see he's still going and is turning out good builds. He came out to the Nurburgring with us for a long weekend a few years back and has done a couple of other things with SES in the past.

Could of been to Lateral for a 'tweak', to around 720cc IIRC.

I bumped into James Skyers today and we were both trying to remember what had been done with that engine build because I mentioned that it was time to take it a few steps further. I hadn't planned to blow up the old engine so it was a case of getting a new engine in the car without spending all my spare cash. James built the engine with the capacity to add more power later. That was in 2011 so as I am being nagged by 'American Chris' I am going to have to do something and soon.

Had a good day at Surrey Rolling Road today with my track day Impreza. They found another 21 horses and 50 more torques!

Wow just as I get done posting about the May 21 evening...

Tony shows up!!

( It is his widebody STI I was referring too ! )

Thanks for putting on the peer pressure Steve, all he needs is some injectors and a fuel pressure regulator to see some power gains on his Type R ; D .

Good chatting to you earlier Mr. Tone, glad to hear your day went well at Surrey Rolling Road : ) .
