Default Holy crap, I won a photo competition!
I hope this post comes across the right way (i.e. not trying to be a show off!), but I found out I won a rallycross photo competition and I'm pretty chuffed about it, so I thought I'd post it up here!

Here's the picture that I won with (cropped a touch more):



Obviously its not the most populated site on the internet, but there were loads of great shots taken by spectators last year, so to have my picture - that I was pretty damn chuffed with anyway - picked has really made my day.

The prize is best bit though: trackside photo pass for the European Rallycross at Lydden in April. I cannot wait!

Also love that Ludvig Hunsbedt flying over the kerbs shot

Well done Steve fella, its a great photo capturing Gronholm being a complete nutter! I'm sure you'll get some more quality photos at Lydden next time now as well!

Cheers mate! Funnily enough I actually got a shot of Hunsbedt a fraction of a second before that other chap did...

Hope so! I've long wanted to take some pictures from the "middle" bit of Lydden, so hopefully I'll get a chance during the ERC. Just hoping that there is going to be a Fiesta or two to photograph there!

Very good mate: however I know you are clearly lying, as if you had submitted this photo you would have come first, second and third. There is just too much awesome in it for one place.

Sorry for the thread bump chaps, but I got to claim my prize of the trackside pass this weekend and, upon arrival at Lydden, I was immediately directed to the OMSE (Ford rallycross team) tent. I had no idea why, but it turned out they had arranged a little extra prize for me...

...one canvas print of my picture, signed by Marcus Gronholm and presented to me by the OMSE team boss Andreas Eriksson.



(I'm looking totally vacant here as I was a bit stunned!)

Eriksson then shot me:



Whilst lurking in the OMSE tent there was also a famous face nearby:



(I'm looking slightly less blank at this point )

Really friendly bloke. Had my picture taken with him, then had a chat with him about the Fiesta and his plans for 2012...

...I'll be submitting my first entries for the 2012 competition shortly!
