Default Funky Steering

On the Bug

Last few days every so often it feels like the power steering, is no longer power steering!

Tyre preesure is fine, changed the belt, correct tension.

So that leaves pump or rack right?

Whats it more likely to be?

Sounds like pump might be on its way out if it's making a whining noise bud .

I had a problem like this last winter when we had all that rain. It turned out to be the uj on the steering column I just used some wd40 on it while turning it left to right (had it on ramp at work) then greased it up and has been fine ever since

It was the pump in the end, nice easy swap unless you drop the alternator rear bracket under the inlet manifold....
