iv seen afew classic with fmic that havent been mapped for them...iv also read some say you have to map the classics to run correct with a fmic and some say they run fine without a map...
what are peoples thoughts on here?? im shore to get the best you would need a map but is it a must???

map it, wrx will run lean for sure,
there mapped for 102ron and small tmic, here 99 at best then add big pipe work its not good for them, Save up for 440s,fmic, pump and remap with a filter and 3inch decatted should se at around 1.3/1.4bar 320-340hp |

Some will run fine some may be a bit close to the edge.
It depends on what ecu its running as the fuel and ignition maps vary dramatically between years. A Z4 or a 6K are probably the safest of the bunch. The main difference is that you may suffer a touch more lag that a remap will correct. The remap will also release the benefit of the fmic. Injectors and map sensor will then be your limitting items as both won't allow any more then 1.2bar. Only an esl remap or new issue can address this. |
