Default favour needed, need to borrow a wheel

anyone local to eastbourne who can lend me an 18 inch wheel with 225/40 rubber on it so I can see whether it will clear my rear arches, itll only be for five mins. Want to get some of these tyres for trackdays so need to know how much arch to roll.

according to the p1woc it will do on a P1 and also touch the springs on standard suspension. I'm hoping with my thinner spring on my coilovers and a bit of camber will work....

When I get back up the road I will take a few close up pics of the wheel with the clearance for you so that you can get a ruff idea Tim .

I tried one of 'E' 40's and they fowled on the strut, infact they wouldn't even bolt up. But they may of been 235's. E will confirm.
That's with an 8" ET51.

Anything you try would need to be the same rim width and offset as you want to run, which IIRC the P1-WRC is 7.5" ET53

The 18s I had rubbed quite bad..had to put alot of camber on the front...and the rears needed rolling really...also found the car didnt drive as nice despite setting it up.

I think classic drive so much better on 17s..and iv met afew owners who have dropped back to 17s

Thanks mate. I think it's the offset that is the problem. I think I'll bite the bullet and get some ad08's and then see what's what

Speak to BrianP1 on P1WOC, he's running 225/40 and they buzz the inner arch and you can hear it on his ring lap.

But then so do mine (less so on the P1 springs then the Teins).
It's more likely to be the 225 bit that causes the problem.
Run your hand up inside the rear arch, you'll feel the step/slope in it's profile that the wider tyre makes contact with.
