I use 255/35 18's and have had 888's and now federal 595rsR's
888's where on the wheels when I got them and where great , couldn't afford them so went with federals and for 600miles I wish I'd found the extra money . Now they are very good and close to a 888 but not quit there but I can live with that at £100 a corner Federals avalible in a 245 |

A lot of people call them ditch finders. My mate ran them on his audi a4 and they wore out very quickly but it is a big heavy car, also a few guys run them on civic type r's also with bad reviews. If your looking at a budget type tyre I'd go asymetric as directional budgets seem to always go out of shape and wear unevenly.

The old NS2's were definitely ditch finders though |

I've been happy with my Vredestein Ultrac Sessantas. No tramlining and decent grip in wet and dry. Not sure they do your size, I run 235/40/18s on the T25, currently £109 from Mytyres.

I had also noticed after speaking with Demon tweaks that you might be able to get the Federal FZ-201 track tyres (these are fitted to the ring rental cars) and very sticky, slightly better wear rate than the 888s as well, and don't tend to go off when they get hot but they do have a 10 day lead time getting them into the UK.. The Federal 595's should be available off the shelf. hope that helps! There is also of course the new AD-08R from Yokohama....

I assume those Federal FZ-201 are not road legal?
If Budgie can't tell the difference between 888's and NS-2R's, then the Nankangs are a bloody bargain. |

Think I was barking up the wrong tree for Russ, seems you cant get the FZ-201 in 35 profile at 18"
They are road legal Steve the info on the description is not accurate I rang them and they confirmed all sizes selectable are orderable, as per Federals website. http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/perfor...oad-track-tyre

The NS-2R's on Soft will most likely be the next thing I stick on, either that or the FZ-201s
The 888s still have plenty of meat left on them atm They are available in the size that Russ wants... http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/perfor...nex-ns-2r-tyre
