Default Car alarm

Got a cobra 6442 alarm on the car done a reset on it and it only unlocks the drivers door think I will replace that with a decent alarm system but there is so many to choose from and alarm systems are fitted to your scoobie ?

Does the key in the drivers do open the passenger on the central locking, as it may be a scoob hardware issue rather then alarm hardware issue.

When put key in drivers door to open it no other door unlocks checked all the fuzes for the central locking and replaced them with new ones so it's not that so I'm thinking it might be down to wiring problem as it's like a spaghetti junction and it looks to be a boch job by the looks of it but can't do anything until I get back from being away .

The alarm should splice into the door lock/unlock signals.
The same wires should control both sides and front/back. So if the door lock drivers side is not opening passenger side and neither is the alarm I would suspect the subaru door solenoid on the passenger side.
The alarm may have 2 door locking modules. One for front pair and one for back pair that way less hardware is required for a 2 door.

Sometimes some wd40 and some manual locking/unlocking free's up the muck in the mechanism which then gives the solenoid an easier time and may start working again.

I will try the WD40 option when I get home give the doors a good strip and check the door motors and connectors to see if they are ok while I'm there .
