Default Codes Again

My Bug has thrown a code now...

301. Misfire on Cylinder 1.

I've got a set of NKG's coming, but I'm a bit confused. I've ordered 6's, but a quick search on here comes up with 7's.

I've pulled one out, and its none of the above? BKR7EIX

Then I made the mistake of googling the code!

I understand it could be plug/coilpack, but a few answers come up with

1. Front 02 sensor
2. Neutral Position Switch

Is it best just to work down the list swapping things out till its gone?

Bug's throw this quite common, as it only allows 2 or 3 misfires to log it.
I would ignore it unless it happens all the time or you start to feel the miss-fire.
Just reset the CEL.
This CEL was deleted from later ECU's most likely due to random events.

Should have added up the top, that's its also miss-firing, but not all the time.

Thought I had it sorted!

New plugs, swapped the coil over on 1 to 3, to try and force a 303 if it was a faulty coil.

Still got a 301. Run some injector cleaner through it, sorted. I thought.

Did about 10 miles, run fine, boosted fine ( ish ) no codes.

Parked it up, started to work on HHO's codes.

Zig took it to the shops, again fine. Went out to pick her son up, and got a 301 again??

Dirty injector still??

Found the problem, injector was dying, and is now dead. Put a multimeter across the pins of the offending one and 0 Ohms, the others all showing about 15.5.
