Default Rolling road day sumo power may 3rd

Hi guys

A friend of mine is organising a rolling road day down at sumo power,

If you want a power run it is £40, there is only a few spaces left so first come first served,

Everyone is welcome whether you want a run or just to come down and say hello,

Date is may 3rd it is an all day event, my friend is putting the bbq on and there will also be drinks all at reasonable prices to cover costs.

Can be a nice family day out in rye, please let me know if you fancy coming and if you want to run via a list on this thread.

Will keep this up to date with any changes.

Thanks
Brad

Hey Brad,

I'd probably pop along to have gander at a few motors etc but no power run for me, and then go onto Rye after with family.

Knowing that cars have come off those rollers doesn't help

How many more have they dropped other than Niges Evo then?

Think Sumo Power is run out of Northampton but Mr Rumsey still has JR Motorsport at the Rye building.

Clive's P1 got a bit out of shape on them too!!

The figures from them looked good though, Scott was able to check them against what he had mapped in for a couple of people

Most of us know about Nige's Evo problem which doesn't fill you with confidence!

No, they've got a 4wd dyno where the car is strapped up on top of the rollers.

Just found this further down in the Google image search:

From here for those that didn't make it:

Good meet that, huge turnout and an even bigger pizza delivery order paid for by Sumo!

I've seen two other than nige's come off and one of my mates was very near, that is why Gary down there takes about 10-15mins per car just to setup strap down and make it safe,

I am friends with James rumsey, but unfortunately these rollers are not a patch on surrey, and I don't think you can beat Charlie for knowledge and fun,

I am purely inviting anybody who can't make it to surrey or who wants local bhp figures, like I said Gary goes way over the top now with the strapping down, but please don't take my word for it pop down and see for yourselves, gary uses these rollers everyday day in day out he must trust them or he would be wasting his time.

Figures for mine were pretty much spot on Surrey but boost came in later,

Do Rob and Andy still run Sumo?

I used to teach Rob's wife Wendy and boy Jack karate for 5-6yrs and haven't seen them for ages.
