Default Help please

Greetings from France, have a problem with my car and wondered if any one can help. Noise from nearside wheel sounds like a stone in the tyre, it isn't. Started occuring 4days ago and is getting progressively worse. Noise is intermittent i.e. nor constant and occurs with each revolution of the wheel. Any ideas what it could be. Thanks

A small stone in the brake caliper, or pads ??

Mine made noise a little while ago from the front nearside, the drop link from the front ARB had rotated and was knocking on the wish bone ?

Finally got this sorted thanks to SMD.Thanks Luke for fitting me in between ferries.Problem was rear handbrake.I used to have oversize rear handbrake shoes from Godspeed, these never worked. They then produced liners for the rear drums that allowed use of the original shoes.Sent drums of to them, thought job done.Due to poor workmanship the fitted liners were not round, thus causing the rear noise problem.Had to get a proper engineer to skim almost 1mm of each drum to make them round.!!!!!Not to impressed with Godspeed.

Hmmmm...... that makes interesting reading as I'm about to go Brembo on the back and get a set of the oversized shoes. What were the problems you had with them that made you go for the drum liner?

Hi Steve, oversized shoes supplied by Godspeed and fitted by SMD. Never had a decent handbrake and was constantly going back to SMD to have adjustments made. Brent was not impressed with the shoes.Had to make friends with one of the operatives on the ferry to make sure that they put chokes under my wheels.I would suggest you speak to Brent before you order. The drum liners were no better,as my thread I took them to the best engineer Luke said they new,he set them on a jig and put a clock on them and straight away said the problem was they weren't round!! Would advise everyone to stay clear of Godspeed.

Wish I had known that before I dealt with Godspeed.Rang them yesterday and said;Fact your discs, your liners, all supplied and fitted by yourself.Taken to a top engineer, set up on a jig and instantly found not to be round.Reply,we done about 30 of these and not had any problem so tough luck.No apology, nothing.

Strange one that.... did a search for oversized shoes on scabbynet and no real issues reported. Appreciate the heads up though, will speak to Alyn on Monday. Got to go with one of the options though..... whether it be the shoes or the liners.

Knowing what I know now that's the only route I would take.
