Got to this thread too late. My serious and sarcastic comments have pretty much been taken.

I actually found that Gary was a bit expensive. He always has been for me but I think it's just the area that I'm in as he's always been surprised that my premium with Keith Michaels was quite high. I found 1st Central Insurance through compare the market to be the best. They offered some pretty good options too with only £350 excess and no voluntary.

To be fair, there may well be other cheaper insurers than Keith Michaels when the car is standard or near-standard.

But as soon as you venture into declaring mods, that's when Gary is a star and Keith Michaels makes sense (he understands what a decat downpipe is for a start ). With most insurers, the price goes up every time you tell them about something that isn't factory standard.....

Totally agree. It's the main reason I go through him and KM. Talking to someone who actually knows what you're talking about is so reassuring.

This was what I was trying to get at on the other thread It doesn't matter how many of us that Gary does get it right for, theres always going to be for whatever the reason, those that he cannot help (even though I'm sure he tries his best) or those who are un-happy for whatever reason. The same as any other insurer, thats why people shop around

What got up my nose (and a few others) was the 'spamming' of pointless information and feedback that has no bearing on any of our premiums, that was the same across multiple forums and not a true reflection of feedback at all.......totally unnecessary IMO

At least the KM feedback is from forum members and good or bad is taken on board by Gary who actualy takes part in the forums/ clubs and does relay all the info back to KM and its underwriters

KM is not perfect but having Gary as a point of contact is a great benefit over other insurers

Awesome saving !!!!
When I get the keys - im actually gonna be quite lucky! Admiral will add the car to the multicar policy meaning my quote for the scooby is £362 fully comp, european breakdown, legal protection, £100 excess, protected no claims, the whole works. Other benefits also include dropping my mondy and the gf's pug down to less than £200 each for same cover - full works !
