Default jdm sti bug

Just been offered a import sti bugeye for a stait swap with the rb5? whats your thoughts? would i be better off having the sti being better on fuel? or sell the rb or swap for the rb and sell the sti? looks spanking and is in blue with prodive rims cheers!

Would have thought the RB5 would be better on fuel unless the STI is a 2.5 as well. I'd be suspicious if I was you.

A proper jdm sti will be worth 5k as twin scroll dcccd box , forged standard and etc

I'd be wary of swapping it unless u get it thourghly checked out first I recently gave some ££££ and my mint version 5 sti for a uk 2002 sti prodrive and it's cost me nearly a grand to put right needed a new caliper 2 coil packs the air intake pipe was split and various other bits that needed doing it's all sorted now but the bloke I got it of defiantly know it had problems

The bug sounds like a better deal for you. But as above, full HPI check and would be looking at it with eyes wide open. But it could be genuine and just a case of the guy prefers classics as is an easy option for him, so worth a look I'd say.

In terms of petrol there won't be anything in it so I wouldn't let that be a consideration.

Bugeye STi JDM wasn't twinscroll and was a VF34/30 dependant on model

I don't expect that to be the case, unless there have been recent changes.

That is not done on date of registration in the UK, rather date of first registration. This is why you can get some MY06 FSTi's at the lower bracket, such as NDS/Pieman's and some not, such as mine.
