Wheel width
What's the max width wheels you can fit before having to change to coilovers on a newage?

i would have thought that coilovers would actually limit the width, due to the normal struts having the spring platform above the tyre level, where as coilovers often have the platform drop below the tyre level?
eg you would have strut leg and coilovers spring to clear on the inside of the wheel. This has been the case on other cars of mine, not sure about Scooby., i wouldn't go much beyond a 8 or 8.5 inch width anyway unless you want to just look good. in which case you need asomething like a 9 inch with a low offset like et15 or et20. Jura is your chap to speak to for wide wheels and tucked look. |
