Default My budget

As some of know I've sold my classic, apparently the HGs gone were causing the starting problem.

I would love Craigs wrx but wont have £3000 till August (have £1500 now).

If I cant get hold of the money by next week I'll have to leave it but basically my question is what could I get with my £3000 budget in August?
That money would be just to spend on a car. Ideally I would like an STi or a UK of STi power.

Is a newage even possible with that kind of money or not?

Just go to your bank and ask for a £1500 loan, it's the cheapest it's ever been to borrow money at the moment.

I'm 21. My credit rating is good just not old enough for it to be high enough. This is what I dont get, I can get acceptes for finance on two cars of £8000 and £3500. Got store cards, credit card yet I cant get a bank loan..

That seems strange that you can get finance on those value cars yet unable to get a loan of £1500. Car finance is normally a rip off at some stupid rate..only a suggestion but could you not get a £1500 overdraft??

Before anyone jumps on my back I am not advising to do it though I suspect it would be cheaper than car finance.

A colleague at work borrowed 10k towards a Audi s5 and in total over 5 years I think it was a tiny bit over 11k he had pay back, when he looked into it you couldn't earn the same in interest on savings so effectively it was cheaper to borrow.

By all means I am no finical expert but if its cheaper to borrow money than to save and wait I would look at lending.

I'm sure there are people on here who could better advise on the cheapest ways to borrow £1500, though it will always come down to personal circumstances.

Bugeye WRXs can be had from about £2k these days, seen a couple with around 90k on the clock that don't look too bad.

Wrong Scoop, wrong headlights ( also non marked so wont pass mot ) and un-upgraded WRX seats.

Much better examples out there.

Also if you want a newage, get a STI. Myself and a few others started with WRX's and soon realise the world of difference between the too.

Mine is STI spec now, but I've thrown ££££'s at it.

That's not what I meant, I've done nothing to my engine. I mean somewhere down the line with a WRX you think, hmmmm I could do with better brakes, slightly lower suspension, better seats, all of which the STI offer.

And if you then decide you want more power ( who doesn't? ) same applies again, better turbo, TGV delete's, decat...all soon adds up.
