Car was overheating so I changed the rad today
Started driving it after and lots of white smoke coming from engine and exhaust. Lots of coolant leaking as well underneath engine Head gasket gone? |

You wouldn't normally get water drippinng under the car, you sure there isn't a split hose

Did you bleed the cooling system after fitting new rad

Probably a split/loose hose, HG failure usually puts oil in water or water in oil!

Water can leak from the water jacket out (it can spray out quite quick once the water pump has got the pressures up) or passed any core plugs (which would be core plug failure not head gasket failure) giving you a nice puddle under the car in extreme cases, or in mild cases the smell of burning coolant coming through your air vents. |

It was a general statement re: core plugs, rather then Subaru specific.
Although I didn't realise they don't have any, if thats what your implying. So instead of blowing a core plug they just blow the head gasket when pressure gets too high then ???? |

Only time I've seen water is when the car has been on boost and filled the over flow bottle
