Default Such a sad sight

Not really sure what spec this scooby is but it's been sitting on this drive way for quite a few years a few roads away from my house. It's an 03 plate I think and has a roof vent, maybe a spec C??.I have to look at each night as I come home and its such a shame. Me and a another chap on hear (krissy b) think its been sat there for around roughly 8 years with it never being moved.
We both really want to rescue it but its owner doesn't want to let it go which is madness! One day I might tip up on his door step with fresh notes and make a silly offer.

Pics not too good as I was on the move in the van. Ill do a dog walk mission one eve and get a clearer pic.

The green you can see is years of moss and grime, not sure if there is any chance of getting the shine back? Makes you wanna cry.

What's he want to keep it for, so he can appear on Car SOS in ten years or something? Won't be anything left of it soon! Terrible waste.

I think krissy and his dad went and knocked a good few years ago and from what i can remember an old lady answered the door and said it was her sons pride and joy?! Lol, yeah looks well looked after. They made an offer, not sure how much but no joy.

That is a travesty.

A White Blob Spec C is probably my favourite Impreza.

Would it not need a bit spent on it to get it going again?

I keep meaning to either knock or post a letter through the door with my contact details on if he ever fancies selling it. I'd say the engine is in it because of the way it's sitting and arch gap looks normal. Wouldn't want to fire it up straight away even if it does run after a jump, internals would be blooming dry I reckon and the oil probably like tar!!

Go for it don't ask don't get it be a great project thou the paint might be even protected with all that green stuff over it. I found something like that years ago a escort xr3 after a couple of washes and a polish good as new afterwards

It may be that it belonged to a relative who passed away and the family cant let it go. i know someone in that position, the lad died and his car is still sat in the drive 15 odd years later as the family just cant bring themselves to sell it.

Alternatively, they have money to burn and are nuts!!!

I have wondered along the same sort of lines, got to thinking that it could be a son in the army who's out in Afghanistan or something?? The old man does drive a beaten up landy and looks a bit scary!
