Fresh face
Decided the front of the classic needed a little something as I thought it looked a bit bland, so I treated her to a set of fogs and a new 3/4 sized number plate after seeing scotts / Silversurfers at the weekend just gone. Plus mine had a nice stone chip in it. Before:
After: Plate size difference: I still think it needs a little something else like a splitter perhaps but not sure what to go for?? I do like this idea of a P1 splitter in satin black like below OR something smaller perhaps

P1 splitter does need to be colour coded imo, but I quite like the one you have at the moment. Go with whatever you want mate, p1 does look more aggressive for sure

I think i may go for the smaller splitter as I think the black P1 version requires black crystal lights to make it look right and as said to give it that agressive look. dont really want to pay out for more bodyshop paint tbh. A satin black P1 splitter can be done really well from a can.

I did have a genuine one James a little while ago, but when fitted it wasn't the look I was after, it didn't really look any lower.

Liking the look mate,
But, Ive found with mine the fogs do take a hammering from stone chips and I have had several broken, I now have a 3m protector over mine.

I know they'll take a pounding which is why I went for copies, there made by a company called DEPO and if they get broken or chipped badly its no biggy as they were only £45 delivered but are of very good quality! I didn't want to pay big money just in case I didn't like the look, but I do now there fitted so the next set ( if these get damaged ) will be subaru ones, or another set of these.

I've never been 100% sure with the P1 splitter.
And I think it belongs only in one place.......one a P1. What about this one, similar to the one above but it seems a little wide at the side, comnpared to the one above |

Yeah maybe your right Scott on the P1 part, I have seen the above splitter on the net but didn't notice that its a tad wider at the sides so now this one is top of my list! Well spotted.

did look nice the old classic, and yeah speed bumps and my drive ramp may be an issue but ill cross that bridge when I come to it or when I hear the crunch! Lol

The number plate is not full size, but 3/4 size from www.fancyplates.com
You need to go into the constructor then select fancy plates. Rather then go for fancy fonts and banners I then select a standard font and an OE style frame. That way it doesn't look so out of place and get you pulled. Hopefully this will work : http://www.fancyplates.com/step1.php...subaru&logo=no I also fit an oversized one on the rear that fills the apperture rather then a standard size plate. That way my average plate size is legal |

Exactley my thoughts, nice and plain and eaiserly readable if they approach you head on. My rear plate is totally standard because it fits the space nicely so I didn't think it needed changing.

Cheers, lol yeah it pretty much is i suppose with it being the same colour as an RB5 just no prodrive spoiler and light washer jets, but in fact she's just a Jdm V5 sti in what I'm told is a rare colour for that model??. Slightly more Bhp than an RB5 which have 238bhp, mines totally standard at 280bhp which is plenty for me. The same engine, turbo and drivetrain etc as a P1, just with to many doors! Lol

nice! yeah the colour is defo one of the smartest! almost had an rb5 before i got my blobeye but decided to go newage if i had known about the power to weight issues i would be driving it now! nice classic bud!

Oh it defo feels quicker than my last newage wagon but I do miss it and wish I still had it at times! Personally as much as I love my classic I'd have a newage next due to rust and spare parts issues on these older cars. It's ok if you've got time and money to throw at it but I haven't really, just doing my best. Family first and all that lol.

I still love those fog covers Keith, best of both worlds! How do they attach if the bracket for attaching standard covers needs removing for the fogs?

Know what you mean. I don't mind the honeycomb at all, but I wanted a badge-free zone.
The fog covers slide into place and then screw in to a hole you drill yourself and self-tap. The covers I had before came with lugs rivetted at the back. You had to flex the covers to get them to sit in - not the most satisfactory arrangement. Still have them if any use to you. Picture is "Wagon Squadron at readiness"!
