Max bhp standard version 7
Hi,
I have a jdm version 7 bottom end in my classic and was wondering what is the safest max bhp i can run on standard internals ?? |

360 should be fine on an STI lump, the failure level increases as you up the power and depends on the quality of the mapping, my engine let go at 370bhp but this was probably due to poor fuel and/or oil starvation due to not having a baffled sump.
350 starts testing the limits of the gearbox though!

I'm over cautious and don't open up fully until at at least 70, usually wait until 80 if I can. I think 60 or so is safe.

I run one as do most with highly modded cars especially if on track at all.
