Default new age boot locks
Hi all i have found a sti spoiler and boot lid forsale that has the sqaure lock on it, i want to buy it but before i do i need to know if my round one will fit? is the sqaure just the cover or is the bore sqaure? any help will be great as £400 posted is alot of money to get wrong thanks!!

Sure its round same as all the others mate just a crome cover.

I'm pretty sure its not actually.... was looking into it a while back as i've had a few different bootlids on mine.

From everything i read, the locks are not interchangeable.

Do you fancie poping it off and having a look for me matey??haha, It will probly look better off due to it being the only piece of chrome on the motor! just sold the van mate so goin to have a little spend on a spoiler unless some one comes up with some nice 18" alloy wheels?

If you can get a lock (shouldn't be much) just use the release inside the car and forget the key mines plated so no key hole at all!

Yeah craig suggested that which is all good now ive fixed the release, but what happens is cable snaps as the seats dont fold? cheers

You have to remove the rear bench seat, and then remove the bars behind the seat backs (its just a few bolts) and you can get through into the boot. I assume you can release the boot from the inside, although i've never tried....

Took this pic when i had the seats out of mine to change the fuel pump:
