Air con draining
Question for you all
What's the procedure for draining the air con before disconnecting it . I realise I can just loosen the connections and ven I to atmos, how dodgy is this, is it dangerous, am I right in saying its not legal Thanks |

It's not legal to vent atmosphere but if system has a Leak not much to stop it going to atmosphere
Also make sure it's R134 will have a sticker Or find a garage will a charge system and do a deal |

Not that I did this (of course) but I did hear of the undo bolt run away technique!
If you do that be warned about the UV dye/lubricant that sprays all over the engine and garage wall (again this is 'not' first hand experience!).

I'm removing everything from engine bay,
Is there a way of taking it all out without degassing ? I'm confused |

Kwikfit will drain the system for you free of charge

You can unbolt the compressor and the pipe will allow it to seat on the inner wing
