Wish I'd filmed the idiot that ripped the back of his boat on Littlehampton bar when I used to run the beach patrol - imagine a 250HP outboard doing somersaults while still running!

Was hysterical - we were sitting outside the bar anchored as we knew it was too shallow (probably less than a ft) we were good mates with the trip boat drivers who kept buzzing us as they went in and out (jet drives that only need 6' of water at full throttle) couple of 'tits' down from London were racing one of the trip boats in a Ring 21 with a Mercury XR2 engine when the trip boat went over the bar flat out - they followed! Ripped the transom clean off sending the engine somersaulting off the back and snapping the leg of the engine plus pulled the transom to bits. So funny when they got out in ankle deep water!
