Question Forum / site banner

Loving the new Forum / site banner

however, something i've been meaning to ask for some time now....... does it need to be so ruddy big? If it were a third or more narrower, I think there'd be a massive improvement to the amount of forum you could see on screen at on time.

Hi riiidaa
Thanks for your post.
Out of interest , how big is it on your screen?
It takes up a little under a 3rd of my screen.

Thanks

Its huuuuge on a 22" widescreen monitor, it takes up about a third of the screen as it stretches to fill the wider monitor (and it goes a bit pixelly as a result).

Will try and sort it guy's

Do you have the same problem with the older banners, including the xmas one?

We've used a slightly different resolution but sized it the same as our normal banners...... we used a slightly different technique to produce this banner, which may be the cause of the problem. We are editing a new banner in a higher resolution using the old method to see if this cures the problem.

Its a right pain because we try it out on various PC's, Mac's, phones etc etc and its 'ok' at our end....... Hopefully the new banner will sort the issue for you, we will upload it as soon as we can

We do have a bigger banner for the forums than a lot of the sites out there because we like to try and change it up through the year to keep things fresh. We also like to make it a little more club focussed, using members pics etc etc the sizing we ended up with allows us a little more scope with the design

Hopefully the new banner will cure the problems

Ok, will play around and see if we can reduce the size a little but still retain what we want from the banner

Will upload a newer version of this one shortly
