I've got one from a group buy that mrchips sorted about 3 years ago.
Thought it was worth a punt as theyre pretty cheap, didn't notice much difference but it seemed a little smoother after i'd run a wire through the bulkhead to the ECU casing. But that may just be psychological! |

They look nice if loomed in correctly, other then that felt no difference.

it probably depends on the car's upkeep.
If its driven dry days only, kept spotless from day one, has a showroom condition engine bay, chances are it wont benefit much. if its an all weather car, wiring is a bit old now and used more than cleaned, then earth leads n contacts will probably have a bit of corrosion n the car may benefit from an earth kit. I think mine falls in to the latter category so an earth kit is on my list of bits n bobs 2 do some day when I work out how to print money |

i was looking on line and they look about £40 ish so not expensive not sure about the power gains i have read but if it helps with general running then gotta be a good thing as we all know how very delicate our motors can be andy if my numbers come up on the old lotto i will buy you a set !

It works well on ECU, I found it helped, and ran smoother. Its all about path to earth, and on these cars its poor due to connections are on paint so no really connection.
But there isn't a massive difference, I think a lot of people expect to much. I am a sparky, and we put earthing in for a reason, all about disconnection times, less resistance, quicker times. Does nothing, but under fault conditions will do its job. Same sort of thing I guess with earthing kits. I am not up with car wiring though. Right sorry to bore. Peace out. |
