New pads and discs ordered
Just ordered red stuff pads and drill and groved discs from this place £174 all in for the fronts.
http://www.brakedepot.co.uk/shop/index.php Never used them before but they where so cheap i thought I'd give them a go. From talking to them they seem to know there stuff and have assured me the discs are not the cheap chinese crap they also have a one year warranty. They said the reason they are cheap is that they are a fairly new company so don't have a big rep yet so they are going in cheaper than ebb and the likes but they also have to compete with the chinese crap so need to be cheap enough to do that. Anyway thought the link might help someone on a tight budget like me. I will report back when I have them fitted and beded in on what they are like. Also gonna be fitting hel braided lines all round.

Yeah fella will do.
The way I figured it if they turn out to be crap then I'll bite the bullet and spend double the price again for a known set. But if they turn out to be half decent then it's gotta be worth it even if they last half as long ebc's then it's a saving. But they say the proof will be in the pudding or stopping more to the point. Oh yeah the new p1 looks Gorgeous fella if I ever get to see it in the flesh you might have to stop me licking it

Well final got the brakes fitted. Due to the riots the post office had been closed so my little bro couldn't go collect them till friday.
My little bros a mechanic so was fitting them for me when when I got home he only had one side done. My drivers side caliper was being a right pain but it final came free and we managed to get everything fitted but naw it was late and my bro had to go out the only thing left to do was bleed all four corners. Even I can do that so me and my pal Liam stayed to get them bleed up got 3 done then got to the drivers side front and the bleed nipple snapped as soon as tried to loosen it. A lot of F-ing and blinding followed. While we are standing there looking at wounded what to do a bloke walks over on his way back from the pub and starts chatting about the car we tell him what we've just done and it turns out he works at an engineering company. Saturday morning the caliper is off and down at his work where he drilled it out and re seats the new bleed nipple as the only one the local motor factors had was slightly different. What a top bloke and an absolute life saver caliper is now back on the car and all working fine. As for the new discs on comparison to the ebc discs they seem very similar slight less drilled groves but they work fine managed to get them bed in yesterday and gave them a little abuse and all is good. As I said before if they work as well but only last half as long as the ebc's then I'll be very happy as they where only about £70. Ill keep you's posted on how they carry on to perform gonna be doing a lot of miles over the next week so the get a good test but so fair I can recommend brake depot if you are on a tight budget.

I'm not planning any trackdays just yet so thought I'd go for the red stuffs for road use. I did have yellow stuff on there and didn't get on with them but when we changed the brakes there was something wrong with the pads they where just crumbling think they had maybe be contaminated with something or just standing to long then abused.
I might give the yellow stuffs another go next time I change pads.
