Default Polish not good enough for a Spec B

Apparently not!

After some treatment with a clay bar and Meguirs Gold Class for my Beachy Head photo shoot I was pretty pleased with how the Leggy came up.

Then I went to see a friend who knows about things, to get the engine cleaned up a bit - the engine's first clean in seven years and 70k!

I was then told a whizz with a foam lance and a good proper waxing would pay dividends.

Oh yes - the engine afterwards

Then I was sent home to polish, sorry.....WAX it twice!

It has come up lovely!! Thank you my good friend!!!!! I am addicted to waxing and detailing in general now.......

I snow foam mine, it is a pre clean, you do this to remove the grit, small particles and some dirt before you wash it with a mitt, to stop the mitt dragging bits over your car creating swirls and light scratches, and it looks cool, I love the looks people give me when I am spraying Snow Foam on the car!
My routine is, Snow Foam, Wash with wax free shampoo, Clay, wash again with Megs Gold Class, polish then wax. I sometimes use Poorboys Blackhole instead of polish, and also use a DA to apply the polish/Glaze.
The Leggy looks GOOD though, Detailing is great fun but expensive!!

Thanks Paul! You have quite a routine there. It pays off judging by your car!!

Well, dont know about that Keith, your cars are always a credit to you. Even giving it a deep clean yesterday though, the imperfections in the paint are starting to show, but she is used daily and is 5 years old now, which is mad, as I remember bringing it to the meet at beechy head for the first time like it was yesterday.

Looks awsome mate, if you get the initial deep clean right at the begining then all it needs is a light wash and a wax top up, when i had my rx7 i spent a complete day on it under a marquee to keep the temperature down and used 4 different polishes, sealents etc etc and the finish lasted for months
