Not sure why, but everyone wanted my phone to watch this footage.......I don't know what all the fuss was about, it was only a 10:48s lap......

Yes, very pleased I got away with it too, there can't be too many that get that lucky.
However, also a little annoyed I didn't get a chance to run the last 5km at the same pace, as it would of defo been a sub 10 min run.

If you ignore the last 5km of the 2nd lap and as the last 5km of the 1st lap from the 'brown trouser' point to the finish it comes to around 10:15s, and the pace of the 1st lap was a fair bit slower.

The 2nd lap was 8-10s quicker then the 1st lap even after 'the moment of brown trouserness' !!!!!

LOL !!!! that ol' red mist eh!!!!! get to all of us at the ring.....

Good vid, but how is the hole in your seat, where your ringpiece took a big bite out of it?

Not a mark on them, although when 'IT' happend it sounded like it was grinding about 3 inches off them.
Turned out to be the two front towing eyes that now have a few mm ground off and the underside of the front splitter has some scratching/paint damage in what is rather a stange but rather cool direction to get scratched i.e at right angles.

That'll be a good talking point at the next MOT. Especially if you can leave traces of red and white paint on it.

Are you back at work tomorrow?

Default Keep your eyes peeled fella's & Fems

I have a thread on Scoobynet.com and through that some mags have been contacting me over the past couple of months.

This coming Saturday I have a photo shoot with Redline Magazine.
A friend of mine up north (Marti) has a P1, and Matt Clark of Roger Clark Motorsport refers to Marti's & my cars as "sister cars".
The difference is Marti's car is drag strip prepared & running on race fuel.
Mine (at the moment ) is running on V-Power and we have retained as much of the original P1 as possible, and it's this subject that will make the 6 page feature in Redline. Race car verses everyday car.

I have also been pm'd by the following, with dates currently being arranged. Total Impreza Mag, Japanese Performance, Performance Car and maybe Banzai. I guess each will want to wait until I have something else done.
Plenty of insane options left yet bigger turbo (choice of 3), NF race fuel, VP import (120oc) fuel, NOS, Sequential box, & more.
It sharing more & more Gobstopper parts now and a bulk of the unit will take 800 all day (words from MC ).

Will keep you informed or check out my thread.
