The Myositis Support Group is a UK charity providing advice and support to sufferers of Dermatomyositis, Polymyositis, Inclusion Body Myositis and Juvenile Dermatomyositis and their families. The MSG also funds and promotes medical research that improves diagnosis, treatment, management and understanding of these diseases.

Quick notes...
If you have never done a tunnel run before the following is a good thing.
Remember you will be following typed instructions, with possibly a few sat twat locations and a few pics of maps.
We cannot supply map books to everyone, so a map book of London of your own would be a really useful thing to have in the car.
Also a co-pilot is rather vital.. you will be driving round London on a Saturday night so someone to read you directions and point out road names helps loads!
Walkie Talkies.. these are not only really handy, but really good fun as well.
SimonAirHeadz is the man to speak to with regards to what type you need.

If you have never done a Tunnel Run before, the aim of the night is to drive round London taking in as many tunnels as possible, and making as much noise as possible whilst going through them

We must note that the Tunnel Run is NOT a race, and MissBanzai do not condone any unsafe or dangerous driving.

Please cut and paste this on any other forums that you may be a member of as all clubs are welcome.

And don't forget.. it is in Feb, the weather will be pants cold/wet/snow etc.. This is not our fault, as much as the MissB staff like to think they are god like, we can’t do everything

Ok just to let you all know,we have over 100 confirmed cars so far,and expect to take another 50 or so bookings before saturday!
We usually get at least 30% of our finale number turn up on the night,so it looks like a 200 car turn out!
Thats one very fat cheque to the charity,and one huge headache coming to an end!

Right so this is how it went!
we leave my house near gatwick at around 6.00 and head off with wayne and garth towards godstone to get juice!
as i fill up my car in complete racewear,helmet,boots and gloves,and wait patiently to pay!(first slightly strange look of the evening)
we hot tail it down to the dartford tunnel,at the tunnel we hand over our money(helmeted up in a rally **** styleeee)boot it away like a special stage!
get to thurrock to see a few cars allready there 6.45
say our hellos introduce ourselves as missbanzai staff and put the coffe on(allways makes them know your serious about staying up!)
after a while the hardware starts to turn up,some nice motors!
(as a rather serious guy turns up in a 911 to use the services i(still helmeted up)tell him im valet parking!!!!to which he actually says "no thanks"TWAT!
now we have a few more staff turn up,lisa,phil,dan,milli,simon,pete,alex(long time no see dude!)the tart and the antster!!
the crowd is now starting to grow!!and we all start to get just a little bit nervous!
welcome to some of the sites newbies,who have come to join us(pez for god sake girl pull those bloody gangster jeans up!!!(nice belt by the way)
ok so this event looks like its gonna go global!
wayne and garth did tell me that in a dream jim morrison had told them"if you book it,they will come"!allthough we all felt that it was unnessasry to see the crack in the naked indians arse!
and sure enough here we were up to our eyes in hardcore japanese firepower!

now lisa lou jo jo ant and simon are well into the battle that was sorting the maps,i go in search of a number of cars here!
have a rough count up and meet up with ant to tell him its around 375ish or more!
we both drop logs and crack up like two kids with there first porn mag!
theres a massive line of cars trying to get in and parked1(im having these flashbacks about woodstock)
ok we decide its time to start heading some cars out to make way for the cars waiting to get in.
i get on the loud hailer and gice them the "gentlemen.....................start your engines"
goddam the testosterone levels pump through the roof!
i line up the first lot,and going to the exit road start seeing them off,with my glowstick and the loud hailer"have a great night"enjoy youselves"thanks a lot"

and off they go like an express train on a journey into the night!!
as i watch them go,after what seams an hour milli and simon and ant join me,we now realise the 375 cars was more like 500ish!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
and we make our way back to HQ (my car)
ok that bit was over,i had seen the police once,they had thanked me for keeping the car park flowing,and sensible traffic control,"have a great night its a massive turnout,well done"thank you officer whoever you were,we wanted to represent missbanzai in a proffesional high quality way............i think we proved who we are,and what we are about!and your praise was very welcome!
ok so helmets on and back in the car we hit london,radios blaring,we go off to play.......
i cant tell you how funny it is when your in a rally car,harnessed up wearing full racegear and helmets,launching your car and over reving in london the kind of looks you get lol!!!!

london traffic is a f****n nightmare as per,so we meet up here and there.
i stop in central london to wait for some of our platoon who were stopped at lights,pulling into a buss lane,suddenly i see a police van pull up by the side of me!
now at this point being in a rally car wearing a full race suit,gloves,boots helmet,in harnesses,with a co driver dressed the same shouting stage notes at me with a lazer and radar protector,and a video camera on a tripod in the dashboard,doesnt seam quite so funny anymore!
the van reverses up to my bumper and two wpc,s step out!!!!!!!!
ok so i now have a chance of not getting pepper sprayed if i only get this right!
"whats with the helmets".......................................... .........

now my eyesburn with a verosity i have never felt before!
NAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH not really i charm them with stories of charities and sick children!
carlyle mentions he knows milli to them and we are on our way!!!!!

we met up with some of the others and bobrabbit at westferry to find some total k**B cheese in an alfa has took down one of our troops!
we battle to save him(we never leave a comrade on the battle field!

our comrade is raised from the trenches,ready to fight on once again!!!
we head off to thurrock to caffiene up,we have a very GENTLE drive over there,being sensible,and not trying to PROVE anything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the words WANGAN,D1,INITIAL D,come to mind here!!!
ok thurrock,we roll in much to the laughter of a few late nighters at seeing such a battle scarred group of renagades!
grag a quick smoke the get stuck into some coffee at around 3.00.
listen to ants stories(and i mean stories)of tunnels,horses,etc etc etc!!!!!!
watch the little hamsters in petes brain trying to digest the information,watch phil tucking into his cheese and biccies(I TOLD YOU ALL NOT TO FEED HIM!)
watch dan eat anything he could!stale or not!
watch ant steal another cup,to go with the other cup he stole last time!!
we head outside to take some pics for the charity!
we say our tearfull goodbyes,and head off home,arriving at 04.30am!


well what can i say that i havnt spent all this time typing...................
missbanzai has only gone and done it again...........................................
