Default Painting alloys
Can anybody tell me where i can get my alloys painted black or a darker colour. Used to have animpreza with black alloys, and saw another the other day with black and really want them again. Just not to sure where to get them done locally? And who would do a good job.

Wheel works in Crawley J, people used to rave about them when I had my Type-R, had also thought about getting mine done in black but then need the grills done as well I think.

You could paint them yourself it only takes a day I done my alloys on Saxo VTR painted them flat black then use paint sealer so that they didn't chip

i agree....if doing them black do it yourself. then u can also touch up or repair any future damage for the price of a rattle can.

Cool thanks for replys guys not to sure about doing it myself. Dont know if results would be good enough? Will have to see how much its cots.

One word...Plastidip

Its like liquid plastic, use it on anything, if you dont like it, or balls it up, peel it off.

Check out www.plastidip.co.uk

Even doing whole cars now, looks like it will replace wraps.

i like the idea of this stuff but surely anything you can peel off is going to chip easily. especially when you consider how fast grit and gravel hits the leading edge of a spoked alloy.

If you were to do them yourself majorscooby did post a wicked way to protect your tyres from overspray without having to mask up using a cheap set of playing cards. (not sure if the thread got lost in the melt down?)

i'm doing the same soon and will post pics. just waiting (forever it seems) for a dry day so the paint can cure without damp air clouding the metallic finish.
