Scott, or anyone
Which boost/vacum pipe is the pill in. I have recently replaced all my pipes with samco and now need to make sure i have the pill still in the old pipes, cant see any sign of it. Thanks |

Re: What pipe is pill in
Hello Mate...
Are you running a 2 or 3 port Solenoid?? If you're on 3 port I don't think you'd have a pill! I know I don't!

Re: What pipe is pill in
Scott...
Should there be a restrictor with a 3 Port as well??? If so what would be the likely out come of it not being there? Would you need to run a lot more duty to try and vent off the extra pressure? Cheers Si

Re: What pipe is pill in
Thanks Scott
I will take a look. Would this make it harder to blow through the pipe, as i have put it to my mouth to blow through and its very easy also if held to light, cant see any restriction, I am guessing its not there, if thats the case it not been there since i had it, 7 years. |

If a 3-port has been retro-fitted to a 1997> model and has been mapped to use it, then a restrictor is not needed. The plumbing should be similar to the link above, except the return pipe (to resonator) goes to the 90 degree vacum line/pipe on the inlet manifold next to the main induction hose. If plumbed as above less duty would be required as lack of restrictor is allowing more air to be bled away from the actuator. |

Ok... Thanks!
Thought I might have found a reason for my high duty but never mind!

75 is high on the VF35.
IIRC I am running about 66 on a smaller VF28 peaking at 1.45bar. Running a 1993-1996 3-Port BCS, no restrictor. |
