Default Brighton Speed Trials (Sept 12th / 09)

Hello guys i went to the Brighton speed trials last year was very good BUT its crying out for some descent scoobies, so as this is a scooby site i thought this would be the best place to start lol (obviously) and im going this year would be good to see you guys there showing the rest of em how its done!!

This could well be worth a visit.

Where is it held?

And is it speed trials? The old Bexhill one turned into more of a procession due to Health & Safety.

If it were proper speed trials, there are a couple of cars I'd love to see there (Anger & Skullfudge) man they would impress many people.

Its along madera drive, basically they line up one at a time, then gun it down the drive

Get all sorts there, old school, modern,kit etc

Yeah thats it on the lower level of the sea front. Its all properly run with times etc and the top ten do a shoot out at the end of the day.

last year a ford puma won it in 9 secs (quarter mile) beat the GTaRt r33 unbeleivable!!

would be good if you can get them to go i think you need to apply nt entirely sure on the process of being able to do it.

Mate, If they saw this and thought I'll have a drop of that. I would be there for sure.

I wouldn't want to ask them to put their pride and joy on the line though.

That would have been the Gould Racing Puma I guess. Really quick!!

The speed trials are a good day out. One thing tho, I think you will find you cannot just enter your car. Last time I enquired about it, I was told you had to belong to one of a few organisations, one being the Brighton and Hove Motor Club. Still worth getting together and going tho.

You can only enter if you are a member of one of the Brighton funny hand shake car clubs, invite only or closley associated with Mr Frost, the main Sponsor.

Im racing the weekend before at shakey anyway for my 4th round, so not sure if i'd want to rape it 2 weeks in a row
