Default P1 ecu into turbo 2000

Hi, does anyone know if a ecu from a p1 will fit my 2000plate turbo? Reason is I've been offered a p1 mapped with ecutek for £120 so I'm thinking I could buy this, fit all my mods and pay another 150 roughly to get it mapped.

It will, but you may have to swap the cam/crank wires at the ECU.
I know the STi 5/6 ECU and Apexi you have to in order to fit in a UK car, not sure about the P1.
The P1 runs an STi 6 ECU/map so I would imagine you do.

Thanks a lot for the confirmation Scott, sounds a bit complicated, is it a hard job or is it just a case of swapping 2 wires?

Easy, 10 minute job.
Just cut the wires to each at the ECU and swap over with a bullet or crimp connector.
Connections B136 Pin 5 & 6
IIRC they are a Red and a White wire.

Pinout here :

Right so I done as above, and the car is turning over but not starting, any ideas?? Swapped the white and blue wires but nothing. The immobiliser light goes of as it should when I press the button on the fob. Dash lights up as it should and the ps13 data monitor all works but the car won't start.

Swap the wires nack.
As said above that was a 'maybe' for the P1 ecu. They probably did the swap internally.

Thanks Scott, tried em both ways, im thinking it's just not meant to be. Both my00 cars both exactly the same connectors just obviously something with the map or ecu immobiliser. So anyone want to buy a p1 ecu with ecutek license?? lol thanks again for trying Scott, appriciate it mate

Probably a dodgy ecu.
It should start with a different map. Even if mapped for huge injectors it should at least fire and splutter.
