Vauxhall radio code....

Anyone work for Vauxhall who could help me out getting a code for a stereo?

Lost the code whilst doing some work on a friends car and unfortunately its a Siemens VDO unit which 'apparantly' can only be retrieved from main dealer records or from an eeprom dump (don't fancy trying that one) Have chassis No: and reg if needed, stereo is the standard unit from new.

Have numerous code generators that usualy work but can't seem to find one for this unit.......... local dealer wants £30+ for a card that may not even work!!! will be getting a new one fitted if a code can't be got
