Keyfob battery replacement
Hi all,
Just replaced the battery in my 04WRX keyfob and now it fails to unlock the doors and disarm the alarm (Sigma M30). Is there a resync that needs to take place or should it still work? Was working before, apart from recently it would not turn over after disarming and I assumed that was a low battery as the battery has been in there for some years... Seems to be something weird happening.
Both keyfobs have decent batteries in, one has always had issues working and the other has been very reliable. Yesterday BOTH seemed to work well and were able to lock/unlock car etc. Came out this morning and neither would work and had to go back to using the keypad to disarm the alarm... Soooo confused....

Not sure where the alarm takes power from but if it can be disarmed via the keypad then I wouldn't have thought it's a supply problem. These alarm modules are getting tired now, mine sometimes doesn't enable the starter circuit and I have to hold the key in the crank position while banging in the general vicinity of the alarm module and it will start, I think the contact on the relay is carboned up but the Siemens relays are now obsolete and I cant find a drop in replacement.
