The parts I’ve got to go on are

Owen dev turbo (similar to md321h)
Rcm headers and up pipe
Magnex full exhaust and bellmouth
Exeedy clutch and lightened flywheel
Lightweight pulleys
Walbro 340lph pump
Yellow 440s
Alcatek ecu
Huge pipercross filter (dry)
Fuel lab fpr
Turbosmart eboost 2 controller

I’m looking for advice bearing in mind I’ve not payed a penny for these parts and on another similar site I got a lot of slate and got told it will drive like w**k 🤬

Depends on what power your looking to run,it seems that you have acquired some good performance mods,I would recommend that you get bigger injectors Depending on max bhp that you are looking to run as the turbo that you have acquired has some good puff to it...also think of your supporting modifications I.e better brakes suspension if not done already and also maybe a 6 speed box as the Subaru 5 speeds are not renown for their reliability and strength at higher bhp figures, always plan properly and make sure all your parts/plans link up and are compatible together,my advice get a bhp figure that you are looking to achieve and spec your car to that, good luck with your project.SJ.

Thankyou for your positive reply , I Also forgot to mention I have a giant fmic too , In all honesty I don’t have a bhp figure in mind it’s just parts I’ve collected i was hoping to get some advice on here of witch way to go if the stuff I have is the right way to go, I think I read somewhere that turbo is good for 400mark maybe I’m wrong , the gearbox I rebuilt and fitted 8-9 months ago it wasn’t the car long before taking it off the road 🙈

The turbo that you have will do 400bhp but you will require bigger injectors to fuel it,their is not a problem acquiring parts but...for example if you go shopping for food you will still need the right combination to make a certain dish, always plan!!!You definitely need a figure that you want to achieve as either way you will not be able to spec your engine precisely and that’s when things go wrong.SJ.

650cc is a nice size injector for 400+ bhp,with a little room to spare.SJ.

Firstly welcome!

Secondly nobody on this site will give you stick for your choice in mods... it’s down to personal opinion!

What you will get is friendly advise based on people’s own experiences as to what works for them and what doesn’t.

There are some very good builds in the projects threads that detail how they got to the power they are at..

Take a read and ask as many questions as you like.

People on here are always willing to help in my experience

Ryan

850cc should be good for 400+ easy..

I’m running RCM 850cc and at 370bhp they are only 60% according to my last map..

As Rdlangy1 has said 850cc would be more then enough with 60% duty cycle on his engine would have more then enough headroom for future mods, that’s why i stated from the start once you have decided the max horse power that you are hoping to achieve your spec for your engine starts taking shape and advice can be more accurately given.SJ.

Won’t be overkill - good mapper will ensure it’s running soundly...
