Default Grand Prix

Watched the Grand Prix yesterday expecting the usual boring parade, but for various reasons turned into an enjoyable watch. Red Bull have a serious problem with their drivers, but I believe Ricciardo is planning to leave at the end of the season.

Turned into a good race... and yes Red Bull have a serious problem to fix.... his name is Max

I don't think Ricciardo did anything wrong all race, every incident was caused by Max not being able to concede defeat and pushing it too far. Surprised the team didn't stop them racing when they banged wheels in turn 1 earlier in the race tbh. To change direction twice in the braking zone is not allowed either, once he took all the aero away from Ricciardo it was always going to end in a shunt.

I haven't sat and watched a full F1 race for a long time, but I happened to watch yesterdays race live and the ending was certainly entertaining.

The Red Bull incident seemed inevitable, the Grosjean crash was hilarious and Bottas incredibly unlucky.

Can't believe I missed it.

I chose to come out of retirement and play a game of 11-a-side football for the first time in about twelve years

Just seen this on BBC news... which wasn't shown on the coverage as far as i'm aware.

Now that could have been a serious shunt if one of them was thrown airbourne.... happened after the last safety car restart and presumably what caused the debris on the circuit that ended Bottas's race.
