Thank goodness it was not at a popular event as there is normally loads of spectators at that spot.

How the hell did he clear the catch fencing some improvement are now going to happen I expect.

Good point, I was exactly at that point 2 or 3 weeks ago. Would have gone through a load of people.

Looks like it probably broke through the fence above the gate. That fencing is designed to catch debris not a ton of car doing that kind of speed.

Do you know if the driver was ok?

Yeah just what i was thinking! I've been hit in the head at that point from a porsche that slipped in the kitty litter and threw it all over the black wall!

Bloody hell! Thats a couple of bad fence jumpers at Brands in the last year or so. Hopefully they can build the fencing up round there rather then moving the crowd line back, as thats a good place to watch from*.





* When its not raining MR2's.

Nasty.....Looks like becuase of the angle of the car and the low slung style of the MR2 that is slipped through the gap that the Marshalls would normally walk through.

ouch!

the instructor i was going round Brands with was trying to get me to take a line further out to the left when on the brakes for Paddock, but i always wanted a bit of track in reserve - was scared of something like this happening if i got a bit squirmy on the brakes!
