Hi Ryan,

I'm in LA (Littlehampton) - what's the problem I too have a Blue Bug (mica blue) I'm happy to take a look, I know a fair bit about the engines and enough to know when I don't know and what not to touch!

Hello and thankyou for the warm welcome.

bluebugeye thank you for the offer. My mother lives in littlehampton and we often take the kids over to visit. If you are available next weekend im over at littlehampton. Let us know.

SO here it goes. Bought the car with a 'turbosmart 260bhp upgrade', I know enough to know this is a cheap fix upgrade and not a good way to gain true bhp.

Turns out i was right but the price was right so i perchased. It had a hardpipe induction kit, turbosmart dumpvalve, turbosmart manual boost controller and a superchip ABC chip hard wired into the ecu.

All of this was ripped out and ive manage to restore it back to standard bar a scoobyclinic exhaust and a blitz panel filter. And a boost guage (temporary).

There has been the check engine light on since i bought it. I perchased a obd 2 reader and found fault codes: P0304 cylinder 4 misfire
P0546 egt sens circ high bank 1 sens 1.

Checked again today and now P0302 cylinder 2 misfire.
Need to get these sorted before a service and then modding.

Any ideas welcome, Thanks in advance

Welcome to SES Ryan
There are a few clever guys on here, we are lucky as we have mappers, engine builders, mechanics and some diy specialists.
One things for sure someone will help you get your scoob sorted.
The advantage is that you can swap bits from another members bug to save spending a fortune.
Would be a good idea if you come to Jap Bash, its our biggest meet and great place to get advice form people.
One question , Have you tried a diferent ECU in it?

As it happens I may have an EcuTek Licensed ECU up for grabs soon which in the magical hands of the Jolly Green Monster could be mapped for around £300 saving you the £500 for the license!!
