Default The 19 Most Complex & Dangerous Roads

I can't see it anywhere, so apologies if it is a repost, but I just spotted this and thought it was an interesting read. The 19 most complex and dangerous roads in the world:

http://www.waze.com/blog/the-19-most...-in-the-world/

Some roads I would really love to have a crack at in the Scoob - and some I really wouldn't as well!

Thats a very cool find

The 2 in Norway look pretty special and they wouldn't be impossible to get to from here either

Long old drive that one (Clarkson style).

Pretty sure the boat that Hammond/May used to go to Norway doesn't run anymore.

Would have been a good laugh tho - bung the cars on the ferry overnight, and beers a'plenty on board!

Not just the Top Gear trip to be honest. I have always been keen to take the scooby over there to blast it about on one of the frozen fjords.

So it's always been on the back burner anyway. Maybe something for my midlife "gap year" that I'm planning.

I'm planning on doing No.14 next summer.
Already spoken to my Norweigen relations (had a suprise visit from them last week).

This is 1.5-2hrs from their home (I have done it before when I was 11 in a VW Camper...an yes it JUST about made it).

I am proper jealous mate.

If you are taking the scooby, would you like to borrow the HD Hero Cam to film the drive through there?

As much as I would like too, the Scoob will be staying at home.
It's far to expensive to take over.

It costs £700+ for the Ferry, which only gets you as far as Finland, you then have to drive through Sweden and Norway, which is probably about 10-12 hours driving. We all now how the Scoob likes fuel and thats not cheap over there either.

I can fly the family for £695 from Gatwick to Oslo, then on to Molde (which is the town where the relations live) and back again.

So will be hire car or loan from relatives....
He has a serious Landrover Defender, bull bars, roof rack, spare on roof, snorkel and winch, so looks like an artic explorer, so could be fun.....

He drove over to the UK in it for a Service ?????? £700 in the UK, £1200 in Norway...so the saving paid a big chunk of his holiday.

Molde Airport is almost as good as the roads :

I would also recomend the Trudos mountains in Cyprus on the way up to mount Olympus. I did this the day after getting back from the Ring. Fantastic fun & all in a fiesta

Bloody hell, thats expensive.

Maybe I'll fly there and try to hire something then. I know there are rally schools set up for the Fjords, Majorscooby did one IIRC?

The only thing thats put me off going there sooner is the price of absolutely everything over there. It's extortionate.

If you still want to borrow the cam though matey, let me know.
