I had the police follow me home last night, they drove past me first of all and i had my girlfriend following me in her car, they turned round and were behind my girlfriend and were practically sitting on her bumper, they followed us to my drive and stopped right outside and watched me park my car. They just sat there and were stairing at me whilst i let the scoobs run for a little bit. I was going to go up to them and ask if everything was ok but i didn't want to give them a excuse to give me a ticket for my small number plate so i waved and went in. They drove off after that.... CHUMPS!!!

My brother had a similar thing happen a while back. Black unmarked bmw pulled out and started following him for a while, as he was getting closer to the house they were still following. Wasnt keen on letting some random person in a black bmw follow all the way home sitting far too close so accelerated off and lost them. They must have had the address off the plate, pulled in to the drive so meanwhile my brothers walking to the garage to grab something and out steps 2 police officers!!! After them 'having words' he made the point that if there was an issue they should have pulled him over straight away or made clear they were police.

Sometimes they will follow just to make sure the car is yours & lives at that address. Especialy if your car fit's the description of a recently stolen one.

I had the same years ago in my Series 1 Turbo.
They followed my write up to my drive. I did ask if all was OK and they said they were doing checks on these types of vehicle, the PNC check came up that I live hear so all OK. In a way I was pleased they were checking, as could of easily been someone else driving my pride and joy somewhere else. Oh! they then stalled their car when turning round which made me smile ![]() ![]() |

I respect the fact that they are just doing there Job i really do, and i have no problem when they speak to me with respect, but the police round Mitcham are very disrecpectful, every time i am stopped i am always polite and i am not one of those young idiots that give it the large when pulled over. One of there excuses before is that i am a drug dealer!!!! (Where the hell they got that from i have no idea) and have been thrown onto the bonnett of there car and searched, then when they couldn't find any thing they said "we are going to give you a ticket for not wearing your seatbelt".... every time i have been pulled over i have never once given them stick. I would understand if i had actually done something wrong or had reported my car stolen...
But i would of loved to of seen them stall the car, i think i would of wet myself with laughter... ![]()

Mate, I can totally understand your frustration. And from the sound of things, you have been on the wrong end of some ****ty stuff. And that is wrong.
But I reckon they were doing what they did with Scott. I have had the same with my scoob. It was probably worth doing exactly what Scott did, by going over and politely asking if there was a problem. Lets just hope they are as vigillant if some scum bucket was to nick your pride and joy. Speaking of which, I know they look much better, but smaller plates can't be read by the ANPR Camera's, if your scoob was ever nicked, it may not trigger one. Just a thought matey ![]() My number plate is the minimum legal size, having checked it with a member of the old plod. |

I do understand that 110% worzel and i am planning on getting a legal number plate now anyway, just really did not want a big number plate blocking my intercooler, i have just had so many bad expierences with the law when i pay my insurance tax etc and am legal... (well apart from the number plate).. I have had a unmarked audi A3 sitting behind me at a set of traffic lights reving its engine, i pulled away as normal and it was sitting on my bumper getting closer and closer, it was a 2 lane road aswell, got half way down the carrage way and then it decided to TRY and over take me, so as he was just getting beside me i put my foot down a little bit and pulled away... Not going crazy, then i saw blue lights in the grill and he pulled me over, then threattend me with putting a section 59 on my car and searched my car and said that he was going to arrest me for going equipped to steal because i had a tool kit in the boot....

Mate, please don't think I am just putting on my "admin head" here. You have been treated appalingly from what I have read, please don't think that I think any differently to that.
The police force are no different from any other major company that employ a large amount of people. There are some complete numpties and bullies in all corporations, many of them on power trips in hope of promotions. Thats life unfortunately mate. You just seem to be getting the rough end of the Met Stick at the moment. The number plate thing with FMIC is always a problem, which will never be easily resolved unless you side mount your plate Evo Style. Which looks down right poo ![]() |

Not at all Worzel, never did think that mate, just fed up thats all...
Yeah i think it is just the fact that most of the coppers down my area think they are above the law.... I can understand why they get the way they are as there are police chases every night and the damn police chopper is out all the time, but i still that does not give them the right to treat other people badly just because they have had a bad day... Sorry i will stop bi*ching now and i will put my claws away.... ![]()

Mate, this is a forum at the end of the day and you are more than welcome to air your views. It has never got out of hand or been anti police as such, so no big problems there mate at all.
As you say, they have a very tough job up that way, but their bad day should not be passed onto the likes of you, it isn't fair. ![]() |
